A OpenText Case Study
Infineon Technologies, a leading semiconductor supplier to the automotive industry, faced the challenge of managing highly cyclical demand and dramatic swings in B2B data volumes while maintaining service levels and controlling costs. With a globally distributed B2B team and multiple regional EDI standards (EDIFACT, ANSI X.12, RosettaNet), the company needed a flexible, scalable and stable B2B infrastructure to support sell-side operations and later roll out buy-side supplier integration.
Infineon deployed OpenText Trading Grid and Trading Grid Messaging Service to connect 500+ trading partners (handling 99% of its EDIFACT/ANSI traffic and 200–350 MB/month of B2B data) for orders, invoices, forecasts and more. The global, secure network—monitored via KPIs and cross-functional feedback—delivered stable, scalable electronic trading, reduced manual errors, harmonized processes worldwide and improved customer satisfaction and responsiveness to market changes.
