HLB Tautges Redpath, Ltd. (HLB TR), a CPA and consulting firm in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area, needed to replace aging records management software and eliminate inefficiencies caused by separate paper and electronic systems. Staff spent too much time locating and routing physical files, prompting a firm-wide review to find an enterprise solution that would manage documents and records across their full life cycle.

HLB TR implemented OpenText Document Management (eDOCS Edition) and OpenText Records Management (eDOCS Edition) to create a single, company-wide database that tracks paper and electronic documents from creation through destruction. The integrated system improved search and retrieval (often resolving client requests during the initial call), reduced client callbacks, provided secure backups, and enabled consistent, invisible records-management practices that support better decision making and future integration.
