Helbako, a family-run electronics manufacturer headquartered in Heiligenhaus, Germany with production sites in Romania and China, supplies complex electronic modules to the automotive industry. To guarantee strict quality standards it relied on about 200 headless production PCs and numerous employee workstations, and manually managing those endpoints was stretching the small IT team as the company grew and expanded abroad.

Helbako implemented OpenText ZENworks Configuration Management and ZENworks Patch Management to centrally manage and automate provisioning, software distribution, patching and remote monitoring for 200 production and 200 employee PCs. The solution increased reliability and performance of quality-management processes, sped security-patch deployment and reduced business risk, freed IT from routine tasks (enabling about four new PC deployments per week), and simplified upcoming Windows 10 and Office 365 rollouts.
