A global logistics provider with operations in more than 220 countries faced an outdated, paper-based invoice process that required printing and rescanning emailed invoices, offered little traceability, and caused costly delays resolving vendor and tax issues. Accounts Payable had almost no visibility into invoice status, forcing time-consuming manual research and frequent rework.

The company implemented OpenText MBPM with delivery partner Modus21 to standardize workflows and integrate mailroom scanning, audit trails and SAP. The two-phase rollout gave AP real-time visibility, enabled ~190 approvers, cut back-and-forth reprocessing, automated posting for correctly coded invoices, sped issue resolution and reduced tax liability — improvements the company plans to extend globally.
