Global Debt Registry (GDR) helps financial institutions securely transfer large portfolios of consumer and corporate debt, but a client-side project revealed a major bottleneck: about 300,000 pages required manual redaction of sensitive account data to meet PCI DSS and GLBA privacy rules. The client’s manual process—opening, redacting and saving each PDF—would have taken months and multiple temporary staff to complete.

GDR deployed OpenText Redact‑It Enterprise within the OpenText Blazon solution to automatically find and redact account numbers and other sensitive data across PDFs, TIFFs, Word and Excel files. The automated workflow simplified deployment, ensured comprehensive compliance and data security, and cut project time from roughly two months to about 48 hours, dramatically accelerating customer response.
