A OpenText Case Study
A major global consulting firm headquartered in New York, with roughly 150 offices and 15,000 employees, was supporting a large power‑station construction project in South Africa. With 38 large contracts and many independent contractors, the project relied heavily on spreadsheets, paper forms and manual reporting, leading to delayed and inconsistent data, high labour costs and difficulty producing reliable, auditable reports.
The firm deployed OpenText MBPM to automate and centralize processes, capture data directly, and provide web/mobile access and real‑time dashboards. Rapid rollout and involvement of process owners delivered enforceable processes, self‑service reporting, elimination of much spreadsheet “anarchy,” improved compliance and contractor collaboration, and freed 10–25% of reporting time for the 400‑person reporting group while supporting over 1,250 trained users.
