A OpenText Case Study
Givaudan, the Swiss-headquartered global leader in fragrances and flavors (CHF 4.4B turnover in 2013, ~9,000 employees across 40+ countries), faced a growing information-management problem: vast volumes of unstructured content spread across multiple legacy systems and mainframes, unreliable search, uncontrolled document distribution via email, and complex regulatory/compliance requirements that made collaboration and recordkeeping slow, costly and risky.
Givaudan partnered with OpenText and built an internal ECM Competence Center to deploy an enterprise-wide content strategy — including Content Suite, collaboration, web management and InfoFusion — consolidating systems, migrating historic data and decommissioning legacy platforms. The result was a single source of accurate information, major cost savings from system consolidation, improved search, workflow and records management, reduced email and uncontrolled sharing, and stronger global collaboration and compliance across the business.
