Game Show Network, a media and entertainment broadcaster, needed to overcome slow or incomplete queries, limited ability to analyze large data volumes, and a legacy data warehouse that could not handle Big Data. The company turned to OpenText Analytics Database (formerly Vertica) to support analytics use cases such as customer analytics, clickstream analysis, fraud monitoring, financial tracking, and predictive analytics.

OpenText implemented a platform that let Game Show Network load and analyze data concurrently, run complex reports, and integrate easily with existing BI tools through connectors and ODBC/JDBC. The result was the ability to manage 10–20 TB of data and analyze 100–500% more data at one time, while improving insight into customer behavior and financial performance.
