Fortune 500 Investment Company - Customer Case Study

A Fortune 500 investment company with a nationwide branch network and a large mobile workforce based in St. Louis needed to use BlackBerry smartphones for daily business while meeting stringent FINRA and SEC compliance and restoring public trust through greater transparency. The challenge was to capture and retain all mobile communications (content, metadata, timestamps) in a way that satisfied regulatory requirements without impeding mobile use.

The company implemented Micro Focus Retain Mobile alongside BlackBerry Enterprise Server (and later BES10) to archive SMS/MMS, BBM, PIN messages and call logs from 400 devices, routing data to WORM storage and adding timestamping, fingerprinting, redaction and export capabilities. The unified, searchable archive simplified eDiscovery, increased security and transparency, and enabled continued mobile device use while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
