Case Study: Location World achieves faster, more secure software delivery with OpenText Fortify

Fortify supports high-quality application release with less expense and effort

Location World, a company managing thousands of connected vehicles, IoT devices, and a rapidly expanding application landscape, needed a more scalable way to secure its 789 microservices and 460 pipelines. As its manual and cloud-based code security approach hit limits, Location World turned to OpenText and its Fortify application security platform to add both static (SAST) and dynamic (DAST) testing into its DevOps workflow.

OpenText implemented Fortify on Demand and Fortify Static Code Analyzer, integrated with Location World’s IDEs and Azure DevOps pipeline so vulnerabilities could be found early and validated before production. The result was faster, more agile code analysis, fewer vulnerabilities reaching the pipeline, stronger collaboration between development and security teams, and higher-quality, more secure software that improved customer confidence and reinforced Location World’s reputation.
