Multi-National Pharmacy Retailer was expanding globally and needed stronger protection for sensitive PII and PHI data, not just payment information. The company also wanted to reduce the time and effort required for audits and support future use cases across HR, analytics, and cloud migration. OpenText Voltage SecureData was selected to address these security and compliance challenges.

OpenText implemented Voltage SecureData Payments across in-store POS card readers and ecommerce systems, using end-to-end encryption and tokenization to protect card data at the source. The solution was later extended to Hadoop and Azure, enabling secure analytics and cloud-based patient data protection in use, in transit, and at rest. As a result, the retailer reduced audit scope, improved compliance, lowered breach risk across hundreds of millions of online transactions, and strengthened its cloud strategy.
