STOBAG, a Swiss manufacturer of sun and weather protection systems with over 700 employees and 500–700 global users, faced a data-control problem: mobile staff had no way to sync company file servers to their devices, so many used consumer cloud services (Dropbox, Google Drive), creating compliance and security risks and leaving IT unable to track or control corporate data.

After a proof-of-concept, STOBAG implemented Micro Focus Filr with Nexpert AG, using an on‑premises model that attaches existing file servers, inherits NTFS permissions, and integrates with MobileIron. The result: full control of company data, instant sync and offline access on any device, stronger search and rendering, fewer IT support requests, secure sharing for resellers, daily backups and remote-wipe capability for lost devices—boosting productivity and compliance.
