Filr delivers effective on-premise file sharing across Horizon Beverage mobile workforce to improve efficiency and productivity

Horizon Beverage, a leading New England alcohol distributor with 700+ employees and a 350–400 person mobile sales force, needed a better way to deliver large files—inventory spreadsheets, pricing, promotions and presentations—to staff on the road. Relying on USB drives caused version-control problems and infrequent updates, creating inefficiencies as the company grew.

Horizon deployed Micro Focus Filr, an on‑premises, Dropbox‑style file sync and share solution integrated with Active Directory, giving staff a central, secure repository without new infrastructure. Filr simplified access and administration, improved performance (including Files On‑Demand), reduced email and USB usage, and has driven broader internal adoption with plans to extend access to suppliers and customers.
