GUESS? needed a faster, more scalable analytics platform to replace its Oracle enterprise data warehouse, which was slowing daily batch loads, limiting data growth, and making complex queries and ETL work too costly and time-consuming. The retailer turned to OpenText Vertica Analytics to support reporting, predictive analytics, and better business intelligence across its global operations.

OpenText implemented an on-premise Vertica solution that centralized data, accelerated querying, and reduced ETL burden. The results included 60x to 400x better query performance, batch loads cut from up to five hours to 60–90 minutes, data capacity expanded from 3 TB to 36 TB, and report generation reduced from three hours to one to two minutes. OpenText also helped GUESS? speed application rollout by 30% to 35% and enabled 80% of the workforce worldwide to rely on the platform for daily insights.
