ePC delivers benefits to educational customer with OpenText partnership

ePC is a UK-based IT consultancy that designs bespoke workflow and data-capture solutions for organizations such as Cambridge Assessment, Rentokil and the HSE. Faced with the need to replace manual, paper-heavy processes—notably distributing personalized exam papers worldwide and processing more than 5.5 million exam scripts annually—ePC set out to cut costs, reduce risk and speed up processing while maintaining high accuracy.

ePC built a web portal and eScan workflow to distribute and upload scanned papers and deployed OpenText TeleForm (Designer, Reader, Verifier) and LiquidOffice to automate image processing and data extraction, showing only unrecognized characters to operators. The solution eliminated much manual intervention, accelerated return and marking of papers, improved outcomes for exams and clinical workflows, delivered significant operating-cost savings (some customers >£1M annually) and cemented a strong, mutually beneficial partnership with OpenText.
