Enables IGA to deliver production-ready, public and private cloud infrastructure and IT services for the world’s largest airport

Istanbul Grand Airport (IGA), the consortium that built and now operates one of the world’s largest airports, faced a tight four-year build schedule and the challenge of delivering a resilient, highly available IT platform to support 750 IT rooms, three datacenters, 5,000 servers, 6,500 network devices and 40,000 IoT endpoints. With hundreds of internal and external stakeholders and thousands of daily telemetry points, IGA needed automated, standardized, elastic provisioning and integrated monitoring to avoid bottlenecks and single points of failure.

IGA chose OpenText (formerly Micro Focus) with local partners Duosis and Netaş to deploy a Hybrid Cloud Management and automation suite—self-service provisioning, server automation, Operations Bridge, Network Operations Management, Universal CMDB and orchestration. The solution automated OS, database and application installs, unified hybrid and multi‑hypervisor management, and delivered real‑time monitoring with log correlation and dashboards. Results included 12× faster server provisioning, an 80% boost in IT admin productivity, reduced operational costs and faster, proactive issue resolution (about 850 virtual servers provisioned to date).
