Embedded OpenText with AI and machine learning delivers 10x faster performance on 80% less hardware

EOITEK needed a faster, more scalable analytics database to power its Sharplook architecture and support data-driven decision making, especially for customers using SQL-based workflows and a Hadoop datalake. EOITEK turned to OpenText Vertica Analytics Platform to embed an MPP database designed for analytic workloads and embedded analytics.

OpenText helped EOITEK implement a hybrid data model that kept only “hot” data in Vertica while storing the rest in Hadoop, with strong support from the local OpenText team. As a result, dashboard queries became 10x faster, returning in 2–3 seconds, hardware needs dropped from 50 servers to fewer than 10, and data compression reached 5:1—cutting TCO, improving troubleshooting from hours to minutes, and boosting productivity by more than 10x.
