Electrabel, Belgium’s largest power supplier, needed to modernize its digital presence to cut rising costs and improve customer experience. The company faced high paper-based communication expenses, slow content publishing cycles, limited ability to issue timely announcements, and a need for mobile‑friendly, journey‑focused web experiences aligned with ENGIE branding.
Working with partner TBSCG, Electrabel deployed OpenText TeamSite with OpenDeploy and LiveSite, decoupled front‑ and back‑ends and moved to a service‑oriented, multi‑channel platform that supports self‑service B2C and B2B features. The change cut time‑to‑web from one month to one day, significantly reduced call center volumes, and set Electrabel on a path toward a paperless operation with projected savings in the millions, while delivering a fresher, more consistent customer experience.
