du, a telecommunications company in the United Arab Emirates, was facing challenges with its slow and inflexible customer bill production system. Its lengthy bill cycles delayed cash receipts, and making changes to bill layouts or content was a difficult, time-consuming process due to hard-coded business rules. To address these issues, du worked with OpenText to implement their StreamServe solution.

The implementation of OpenText StreamServe dramatically reduced bill cycle times, cutting them from many days down to just three hours for consumer accounts and six hours for enterprise accounts. This acceleration sped up cash receipts and eliminated several hours of manual pre- and post-processing work per cycle. Furthermore, du gained the flexibility to quickly amend bills for legal or marketing needs and can now easily produce output in multiple formats, including PDF and print.
