Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (Bci) needed to keep its first-mover advantage in Chile’s fast-changing banking market, but an aging, rigid architecture and mostly manual testing processes were limiting innovation, slowing releases, and making it hard to scale quality assurance. Working with OpenText, Bci used OpenText Software Delivery Management, OpenText Functional Testing, OpenText Functional Testing Lab for Mobile and Web, and OpenText Enterprise Performance Engineering to modernize its DevOps and testing approach.
OpenText helped Bci automate testing, improve governance and coverage, and embed performance engineering into the development lifecycle. The results were significant: 90% fewer defects, 21% cost reduction, 95% of manual regression tests replaced with automation, and a 75% reduction in time to market, cutting delivery from about two months to two weeks on average.
