Dexia Crediop, an Italian bank specializing in financing public infrastructure, needed to move a critical, mainframe-based COBOL statutory reporting application off the mainframe onto a more cost-effective Windows platform while preserving regulatory compliance and business continuity. Using Micro Focus Visual COBOL for Eclipse and COBOL Server, Dexia Crediop rehosted the application to Windows, ran parallel testing to validate performance, and decommissioned the mainframe after one year.
