Delivering vital social and care services to an aging population

Kuratorium Wiener Pensionisten-Wohnhauser (KWP) needed a secure, scalable way to support daily email, messaging, printing, and central file management for about 2,000 employees. The organization also had growing concerns about data security, since staff had previously used public cloud storage to share files, including sensitive documents. OpenText helped KWP with solutions including Open Enterprise Server, ZENworks Configuration Management, and Filr.

OpenText implemented a secure internal file-sharing environment with Filr and used ZENworks to quickly deploy applications and updates across devices, while Open Enterprise Server continued to support central file management. As a result, KWP improved data control and security, sped up software rollout, and prepared its IT environment for future growth. The organization expects its network to expand to 20,000 devices, and with OpenText it says it can scale to meet that demand.
