Delivering a superior patient experience and enhanced team collaboration in an agile environment with ALM Octane

Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the largest Catholic healthcare systems in the U.S., needed a more efficient and flexible testing process after its merger with Mercy Health increased application testing demands. The team also had to adapt quickly to changing requirements, including a rapid COVID-19 response, while managing a large existing test library and moving toward agile development. OpenText’s ALM Octane, along with ALM/Quality Center, UFT One, LoadRunner Enterprise, and Fortify, were part of the environment.

OpenText implemented ALM Octane in a SaaS model and helped migrate more than 5,000 test cases, enabling faster script creation, easier execution, and stronger collaboration across teams. The result was a 20% testing productivity improvement, faster defect management, and more in-depth application testing, which helped Bon Secours Mercy Health deliver a better patient experience and support video consultation rollout across more than 750 facilities.
