Databarracks is a London-based provider of highly resilient, always-available data center services (with physical infrastructure in a deep underground bunker) that supports mission-critical applications. Facing customer demand for much shorter recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO), the company was limited by multiple disparate tools and manual processes that produced RPOs of 8–24 hours, RTOs up to 24 hours, and fees for testing.
Databarracks consolidated and automated its disaster recovery platform with PlateSpin Protect, standardizing protection for Linux and Windows workloads and reducing operational complexity. The change cut costs and staffing needs, enabled flexible on-demand resource allocation, delivered typical RPOs and RTOs of under an hour (with some recoveries completed far more quickly), and introduced free self-service DR testing—giving customers faster, cheaper, and more reliable recovery.
