CSC Germany expands digital faxing via Open Text Fax Server integrated with Lotus Notes and SAP

CSC Germany, part of global IT provider CSC, faced an outdated, Lotus Notes–embedded fax system that served only the Wiesbaden headquarters, left mobile consultants dependent on physical fax machines, and lacked redundancy or scalability. The legacy product had reached end-of-life, slowed procurement workflows, and prevented company-wide electronic fax access.

Working with egsSoft, CSC implemented Open Text Fax Server with connectors for Lotus Notes and SAP, plus redundant enterprise servers and shared services. The rollout gave nearly 1,000 employees across 60+ locations integrated email- and SAP-driven faxing, eliminated over half of fax/printer devices, improved send/receive efficiency, reduced costs and carbon footprint, and enabled mobile professionals to send faxes from anywhere.
