A OpenText Case Study
Retirement Benefits Fund (RBF) is Tasmania’s public‑sector superannuation trustee, serving about 75,000 members and managing A$5 billion. After outsourcing administration, RBF needed to decommission five costly in‑house systems that nonetheless held critical historical records—170,000 member files (~500 GB, 600,000 PDFs and ~9 million table rows)—while still meeting legal, governance and access requirements and reducing operating costs.
RBF worked with Kapish to consolidate those records into Micro Focus Content Manager, developing extraction/import scripts to migrate diverse file types into one secure, auditable repository—completed in one year, 12 months ahead of schedule. The outcome: five legacy applications retired, A$400,000 annual savings, faster user access with minimal training, reduced printing, improved information integrity and a single, compliant “version of the truth” for member records.
