A OpenText Case Study
Retirement Benefits Fund (RBF) needed a better way to manage a highly customized legacy records environment, including 170,000 member files, 500 GB of data, 600,000 PDFs, and 9 million data rows spread across multiple systems. Already using OpenText Content Manager for document management, RBF worked with OpenText and Kapish to explore using the platform for member records and to retire five costly legacy applications.
OpenText Content Manager was implemented to migrate and consolidate the data into one secure system with automated security, retention, and audit controls. The result was a single version of the truth, faster user training, simpler searching and archiving, reduced printing, and immediate productivity gains; RBF also cut planned migration time from an estimated two years and significantly reduced operational costs while improving customer service and compliance.
