A OpenText Case Study
A global financial services firm with about 4,000 employees across 25+ locations, serving banks, brokers, asset managers and insurers, needed to modernize its reporting capabilities. Reporting—used for internal and external reports, ad hoc non‑IT queries, and automated mass distribution—had been constrained by an aging engine that couldn’t consolidate with existing OpenText Analytics and Reporting or meet requirements for white‑labeling, multi‑language support and reduced report maintenance.
After a proof of concept the firm selected OpenText Information Hub (iHub). The Java‑based, open and scalable platform enabled one report design to be dynamically customized for different customers (logos, colors, groupings, chart styles and languages), supported automated mass reporting and simpler ad hoc queries, and allowed engineers to extend functionality. Fast, pragmatic support during migration and the ability to generate many report variants from a single template reduced maintenance, improved customer responsiveness and unlocked new development possibilities.
