Comcast Cable - Customer Case Study

Comcast Cable, a leading U.S. provider of video, high‑speed internet and phone services, faced resource constraints and slow response to issues with its locally hosted Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) instance. To improve agility, reduce outages and free up dedicated support staff, Comcast set out to migrate ALM to a cloud-based managed model.

Comcast deployed ALM in the cloud for roughly 3,000 system users with help from Micro Focus teams for implementation, integration, and database setup. The move delivered the company’s first enterprise app migration to an external cloud, established a benchmark for future cloud initiatives, cut TCO by about 40% over three years, ensured more than 99% uptime, eliminated infrastructure planning burdens, freed administrators for higher-value work, and enabled faster delivery of new features and consistent project-level backups.
