A OpenText Case Study
Clallam County Sheriff needed a faster way to process growing volumes of digital evidence from phones, laptops, and storage devices to support criminal investigations and maintain chain of custody. Before adopting OpenText, the office relied on an external forensic lab, which created a six-hour round trip for officers and could delay results by several months.
Clallam County Sheriff implemented OpenText EnCase Forensic, with training through an OpenText Learning Subscription, to manage digital evidence collection, preservation, and reporting in-house. The OpenText solution helped investigators quickly find relevant evidence, support detectives and prosecutors, and is now actively used in investigations, including a triple homicide case, improving speed and strengthening cases.
