A OpenText Case Study
CIZ (Centrum Indicatiestelling Zorg) is the Dutch Care Assessment Agency that handles over one million eligibility cases a year and oversees €28.5 billion in government funding. After consolidating 78 regional units, CIZ struggled with fragmented IT—17 regional databases, limited process control and long, costly change cycles that could take three to six months—making workload tracking and redundancy planning difficult.
CIZ selected OpenText Cordys BPM and implemented it with a co-located, Scrum-driven team to centralize data and automate case routing. The new solution simplified architecture, lowered operational costs and enabled redundancy, while improving agility—now 100% of cases meet the six-week target, 80% are handled within two weeks and 50% within two days—along with better reporting, resource planning and user flexibility.
