Citigroup, a global bank serving about 200 million customer accounts, needed to accelerate application delivery—especially for rapidly changing mobile apps—while maintaining enterprise-grade availability and scale. The challenge was to standardize testing and DevOps practices to support thousands of projects and users, preserve over 99% application availability, and keep pace with frequent platform and feature changes.
Citigroup implemented Micro Focus’s ALM suite (ALM, Quality Center Enterprise, Performance Center, UFT) and engaged Micro Focus Services to migrate and stand up the platform with no business disruption. The single end-to-end platform and DevOps approach gave seamless visibility across requirements, testing and defects, enabled much faster releases, and now supports 40,000 named users, up to 2,400 concurrent users, 1,700 active projects and over 20 TB of test data—helping Citigroup maintain leadership in digital innovation (including early mobile-first initiatives).
