A OpenText Case Study
The Center for Life Management (CLM), one of ten community mental health centers in New Hampshire serving more than 5,000 patients a year, needed to replace a 10‑year‑old document management system that could no longer integrate with modern workflows. CLM wanted a cost‑responsible solution that would improve patient care and the customer experience, reduce manual processes, and deliver a measurable return for a resource‑constrained non‑profit.
Working with CASO, CLM implemented OpenText ApplicationXtender and ECM Toolbox Workflow, integrating scanning and workflows with e‑prescribing, scheduling and the EMR. The new process lets front‑desk staff scan insurance cards at check‑in and automatically notifies back‑end staff, cutting insurance update completion by up to 24 hours; it recreates final medical records for EMR downtime access and sped document list retrieval from ~25s to ~3s (an 88% improvement), freeing staff for higher‑value work, improving patient care and simplifying audits.
