A OpenText Case Study
The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) is South Africa’s independent workplace dispute‑resolution body, handling some 2,500–3,000 new case requests daily across 18 offices. Because its lawyers and staff depend on always‑available case management, finance and HR systems, the commission needed a reliable disaster‑recovery solution after experiencing server failures that risked lengthy downtime and operational disruption.
CCMA deployed Micro Focus PlateSpin Forge to protect about 20 server workloads in a dual‑site, virtualized recovery environment managed with MTN South Africa. PlateSpin Forge provided simple, automated replication, easy testing and failover, and seamless failback—allowing CCMA to recover services in under an hour during a recent outage with no user impact, reducing admin effort and eliminating paper‑based workarounds.
