A OpenText Case Study
CBH Group, a Western Australian cooperative owned by more than 4,500 grain growers that handles about 95% of the state’s harvest, faced an inefficient procurement operation with no clear end-to-end purchase-to-pay process. Invoices were processed manually by a team of seven, causing late payments, frequent vendor queries, lack of transparency and risk to supplier relationships—prompting a need to reengineer procurement to reduce costs and improve service for growers.
CBH implemented OpenText Invoice Management for SAP® Solutions (including Invoice Capture Center and Archiving) in a four-month rollout with targeted end‑user training to create internal “project heroes.” The automation delivered a full payback within 12 months, reduced late-payment queries by 95% (from ~40 to 1–2), cut labour costs by 60% (team reduced to three), achieved on-time payments at least 90% of the time, and provided end-to-end visibility and measurable purchase-to-pay performance.
