Canada 3.0 - Customer Case Study

Canada 3.0, organized by the Canadian Digital Media Network (CDMN) and the University of Waterloo’s Stratford Institute, needed a way to extend the connections and conversations formed at its annual digital media event into a year‑round collaboration that would inform and help build the CDMN. The challenge was to provide a central repository for event content, discussion and outcomes so organizers and stakeholders could continue dialogue and develop a coherent mission and network across Canada.

Using OpenText Social Workplace, Canada 3.0 launched an online community with embedded media, blogs, forums, member profiles and a Twitter feed to integrate online and offline activity. Driven by user‑generated content, the platform sustained momentum between events, generated interest in the show, highlighted key sessions, and captured attendee feedback during the inaugural event—providing actionable insights on stakeholders, target audiences and focus areas that supported the development of the CDMN.
