Braille Works and OpenText team up to deliver independence and inclusion

Braille Works, a leading U.S. provider of braille, large print and audio materials, needed a way to help organizations serve customers with visual impairments at scale while meeting accessibility regulations. Converting and remediating large volumes of statements, bills and policies manually was slow, costly, and often produced unusable outputs for blind and low-vision users.

By partnering with OpenText and using its Output Transformation, Automated Output Accessibility and Document Accessibility tools, Braille Works automated extraction and remediation of high‑volume print streams and converted them into accessible PDFs and alternative formats. The end-to-end solution lowered production costs, scaled to tens or hundreds of thousands of documents, improved compliance and increased access and independence for customers with visual impairments.
