BORDONARO IT Offers Reliable “Bring Your Own VM” Migration with Super-Fast Cutover

BORDONARO IT is a Germany-based managed service provider delivering Azure Stack infrastructure and hybrid cloud migrations for dozens of customers and more than 150 VMs. As clients moved from Hyper-V to Azure Stack Hub, the team struggled with slow, manual data replication and restore processes (up to 1.5 days), limited testing visibility and unacceptable client downtime—Microsoft Azure Site Recovery did not support Azure Stack, so a new approach was needed.

BORDONARO IT adopted OpenText Migrate and proved the solution in a POC that moved 20 Hyper-V servers (≈350 VMs) to Azure Stack Hub. The migration tool improved visibility and testing, cut restore times by roughly 50% (to about 2–3 hours), enabled near‑zero cutover downtime, and handled complex scenarios (Exchange clusters, OS upgrades), delivering a reliable, easy-to-use migration capability for the company’s customers.
