A OpenText Case Study
Blokker, the Netherlands’ largest specialty retailer with 800 shops and more than 100,000 weekly purchase orders, was hampered by manual, paper-heavy ordering and invoicing. Franchisees used paper order books and often didn’t know which items would be delivered until delivery day, creating time-consuming processes, higher operating costs and compliance challenges for the head office.
Blokker replaced its merchandising and document-management systems with OpenText StreamServe and OpenText Document Server (Alchemy Edition), creating electronic order books, pre-delivery invoicing and a secure archive for franchise access. The rapid implementation reduced printing and manual work, sped invoice delivery and stock replenishment, improved invoice quality and tax compliance, and produced measurable time and cost savings across the franchise network.
