Beijing Future Advertising, a subsidiary of CCTV-5, needed a way to help high‑profile advertisers optimize campaigns across China’s leading sports channel. The agency faced fragmented structured and unstructured data from sources like the GO Sports app, Weibo, WeChat and large volumes of audio/video, and struggled with slow, manual video search and analysis that made timely, insight-driven ad decisions difficult.
To solve this, Beijing Future Advertising implemented an Advertising Campaign Results Evaluation System built on Micro Focus IDOL (with VLC, Microsoft SQL Server and a media analytics platform), integrating 150 data sources without changing its IT architecture. The solution provides real‑time indexing, automatic semantic and multimedia analysis, and hundreds of pre-trained ML models, enabling fast, accurate video retrieval, cutting classification time from about 10 days to minutes, eliminating data replication, reducing storage costs, and delivering actionable intelligence that improves advertiser ROI.
