BDO Israel launched a global managed detection and response practice by acquiring Israeli cyber consultancy SECOZ and building a Cyber Security Center staffed with 30 experienced specialists. Facing rising cybercrime, client demand for detection-and-response capabilities, and a global shortage of skilled security professionals, BDO needed a scalable, multi-tenant platform that could deliver consistent, high-quality protection while keeping client costs low.
BDO implemented Micro Focus ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager and ArcSight Data Platform (largely on AWS), creating custom connectors, correlations, and threat-intelligence workflows. The solution dramatically reduced false positives, enabled pinpointing incidents down to floor and device (as with a WannaCry alert), cut alerts to single digits for large environments, and saved clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in CapEx versus building in‑house.
