Barwa Real Estate, a Doha-based developer of large residential and commercial projects across the Middle East, struggled with rapidly growing volumes of project documents—contracts, designs, invoices and more—scattered across multiple storage locations and held inside Oracle E-Business Suite. This led to slow, inconsistent searches, unclear version control, duplicated content and rising storage and database performance and backup costs.

Working with Mannai, Barwa deployed OpenText Extended ECM for Oracle E-Business Suite, migrating unstructured content out of the EBS database into a single OpenText repository that is accessible from within EBS (single sign-on) and enriched with EBS metadata, security and audit controls. The solution delivered faster, comprehensive search and retrieval, eliminated duplicate copies, improved version control and collaboration, reduced storage and backup costs, and eased pressure on Oracle performance.
