Bancomext chose NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager to help them control the provisioning of IT resources and comply with Mexican government regulations for financial institutions

Bancomext, a financial institution, needed a more secure and efficient way to manage user identities, passwords, and access across its growing workforce. Working with OpenText, it evaluated several options and chose Identity Manager and Access Manager to replace manual processes and support self-service password resets, single sign-on, and user provisioning.

OpenText implemented Identity Manager and Access Manager on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, enabling automated account creation, role-based access, multi-factor authentication, and tighter password policies. The results included a 66% reduction in new-user account setup time, a 15% drop in helpdesk calls, improved compliance with banking regulations, and a rollout to 900 users with room to grow to 2,500.
