A OpenText Case Study
Banca Popolare di Sondrio (SUISSE) SA, the Swiss subsidiary of a 140‑year‑old Italian bank, needed to replace an aging legacy archiving system to gain greater flexibility for new functions, tighten security and compliance, and reduce costs. The migration had to preserve metadata for more than 10 million documents—including encrypted files—support role‑based, cross‑departmental authorisations, and integrate with existing external systems without changing interfaces.
The bank chose OpenText Content Suite with partner Tinext, using a custom migration tool (300–400 docs/min) and synchronization agents to automate attribute and authorisation updates. The new solution kept business processes unchanged while simplifying scanning/indexing, speeding document status changes, strengthening monitoring and two‑level authentication, ensuring compliance, and delivering measurable cost savings and greater operational flexibility.
