BakerHostetler automates intake process, reduces overhead with OpenText MBPM

BakerHostetler, a top-100 U.S. law firm with over 600 attorneys and a global client base, faced a paper-driven New Business Intake process that caused delays, lacked an audit trail, and generated human errors and high overhead across multiple offices and time zones.

The firm implemented OpenText MBPM (integrated with Thomson Elite and tools like Experian QAS) to automate intake, delegate approvals, email alerts, document capture and audit tracking, and to auto-populate client/matter data and invoice models. The result was faster, more visible and consistent workflows, lower paper use and overhead, improved client service, and the ability to scale the process firmwide with plans to extend MBPM to additional procedures.
