AVI, a Johannesburg-based fast-moving consumer goods group with more than 50 brands, was seeing rapid SAP data growth that degraded system performance and shortened backup windows. At the same time, users lacked in‑SAP access to business documents, creating compliance risks and blocking process automation.

Working with partner iFuture, AVI deployed OpenText Data Archiving for SAP Solutions and OpenText Document Access for SAP Solutions to archive data and surface scanned/electronic documents inside SAP. The implementation restored system performance and backup windows, enabled in‑context document access and process automation, reduced storage and retrieval costs and debtor days, improved compliance and reporting, and is now used by 500+ users across the group.
