Automation in the Human Resources department generates significant time savings at SAP

SAP, a leading enterprise software provider, faced a time‑consuming HR challenge: hundreds of thousands of paper documents per year across almost 200 document classes had to be pre-sorted and processed manually. To streamline HR master data management and improve cross‑site accessibility, SAP looked for an automated capture solution and partnered with OpenText.

SAP implemented OpenText Capture Center to automatically recognize, classify and integrate HR documents into its workflow. The rollout was smooth, enabled access across branches, and delivered major efficiency gains — about 94% of documents are now correctly routed automatically, manual intervention is rarely needed, and HR processes are significantly faster and easier to manage.
