Atos - Customer Case Study

Atos, a global IT services leader, faced the challenge of migrating hundreds of critical production workloads—both physical and virtual—to the Atos Cloud or managed infrastructures without disrupting business operations. The company needed an efficient, low-risk way to handle large-scale, heterogeneous migrations while reducing storage and manual rework.

Atos deployed Micro Focus PlateSpin Migrate to run multi-modal migrations (P2V, V2V, P2P, V2P), automatically strip or add target components and right-size target disks, and standardize the process. The solution enabled mass migrations of up to 60 workloads over a single weekend (61 migrations in a key engagement), saved about four hours per server on average, reduced downtime risk, and strengthened Atos’s cloud and managed-services value proposition.
