AMEC is a global energy consultancy and engineering services company with about $4 billion in annual revenue and more than 23,000 employees in over 30 countries. Facing geographically dispersed operations and a CEO‑mandated “Operational Excellence” initiative, AMEC needed to build a strong business case and select a Business Process Management (BPM) solution to standardize, automate and improve core processes across the enterprise.
AMEC selected OpenText MBPM and ProVision after a six‑month RFP and proof‑of‑concept process and has begun rolling the platform out to support some 18,000 users. Key processes automated include invoice approval, engineering change management, travel management, onboarding/termination and tender review—delivering faster cycle times, improved governance, auditability and compliance, lower costs, higher productivity, better data visibility, and significant paper reduction supporting green sustainability.
