A OpenText Case Study
Global Dairy Co-operative, a 20,000-employee organization operating in 140 countries, faced a fragmented application and testing landscape after merging three companies. With distributed teams, offshore vendors and mixed development processes, they needed a central, ITIL-compliant test repository that external development partners could access, to support audits, stop duplicate test creation, and improve visibility and reuse across the business.
The co-op implemented Micro Focus ALM (moved to SaaS for secure partner access) and UFT One, migrating SAP TAO scripts into a single baseline domain and running weekly automated test suites—170 end-to-end tests across six devices in three hours. The centralized, automated approach saved $800,000 and 9,000 man-hours over five years, increased business user adoption, simplified audit support, and helped catch severity‑1 issues before production.
